O.S.R.B. number one

The book that I am reading is called GYM CANDY. At the beginning of the book Mick’s dad made Mick start school one year late because he wanted Mick to have an upper hand on the team so he would be bigger faster and stronger than all the other running backs on the team. Mick’s second year playing tackle football there was a new coach. The coach didn’t like Mick’s dad that much because Mick’s dad made the coach look like a fool because Mick’s dad played running back ran over the coach who played on the other team and ran him over to score the winning touchdown.
So during practice he would make Mick be the model and do everything the coach wanted him to do and he would make Mick be the tackling dummy sometimes. One day after practice when his dad picked him up Mick said he wanted to quite football. But the dad said that he shouldn’t because you will have coaches that yell and make you do things you do not want to do so just get use to it. Then when Mick was a freshmen in high school after his football season ended he got a call from the Varsity coach asking if he wanted to practice but not garneted to be playing on the team. Mick said yes and he and two of his friends went to practice in the spring not knowing what will happen.

Outside Reading book summary again

I am going to be talking about my book again. Sorry in advance if I talk about the same thing.
The book once again is called Gym Candy. At the beginning of the book you see Mick and his dad in their backyard. His dad painted the grass white lines for it made a mini football field. Mick had to try to get around his dad (who is on his knees) and score a touchdown. I think it was about the second week after attempting but failing he finally got past his dad with a wicked juke. But one day Mick’s dad told him something that he will never forget. That there is no crying in the football. Mick’s dad made him start school late so he had an upper hand on being a starter on the football team. The reason is so that Mick would be bigger, faster, and stronger then everyone else who was on the team. Mick wasn’t really that happy at first because everyone knew that Mick was a year older than everyone so he had an upper hand on everyone.
When Mick was practicing with the varsity team his dad told him to be always be by the person who is higher than him in the depth charts so the coaches can see that he was a good player. So by the end of the second week he went from sixth of the depth chart to the number second stop.
Once again sorry if I talked about something I have already talked about.

OUTSIDE READING BOOK (highlight to read)

The book that I have read for outside reading is the book GYM CANDY. I have already finished the book because my parents made me get a book and read it. The book is about a boy who plays football for a Washington High School. The Mick’s (the main dude) father was a really good running back. He was Mr. Football in his high school. Went to USC and played running back, and then got drafted by the Chargers. But he didn’t play any games. The reason he told his son is that he sprained his ankle then came back to early and sprained it again and he couldn’t really play that hard anymore so they laid him off. But the real reason is because he was mean to the players and coaches, he got many DWI’s and he was always late to the team meetings.
So in 9th grade Mick was called up to play on Varsity. He wasn’t the biggest running back out on field but he was the fastest. Then during the next couple weeks he moved from the bottom of the depth charts to the second. But he was starting for all the special teams. Then one day the starter of the team got caught drinking and he was kicked off the team. So in the Championship game Mick was playing. They lost by six points and Mick was six inches away from the goal line.
He and his friends were saying that the man who stopped him was on the juice. So Mick wanted to get bigger so he started to lift weights. But he was thinking that he wasn’t going anywhere. So when he was at the club working out with his personal trainer Mick asked him about getting on the juice and he gave him some.
Then in the next season there was another dude who was playing running back who was pretty good. But Mick was better because he was a lot stronger and quicker. Every game when Mick was on the juice he broke a High School record. He got them to the Championship game again. But once again he got hit at the six inch line by the same dude. But instead of falling backwards Mick kept on moving his legs and knocked the player in to the end zone. They won the game.
But when he was on the juice Mick was feeling really depressed. So he picked up a friend who was on the Varsity team and brought him to a pond because he knew about Mick using the juice. Mick brought his dad’s gun, and when the friend was walking away Mick took it out and pointed at the friend. Then stopped and pointed it himself. Mick shot the gun and the bullet skinned his head. He didn’t die but he went to treatment.
And that is the end of the book.

THE ROAD part 1

The book THE ROAD by Cormac McCarthy is about a father and his son is wondering on a road after a nuclear winter. They are both wearing some type of bag to keep their stuff they find in it. But the father has a gun for protection because there are some people on the road that are not really nice. So one day as they were walking they find a barn with a pigs butt on the door. So when the father opened the barn door, inside was all dark not much light and depressing. Then when they look up they see three dead bodies hanging in the rafters. In today’s reading I read that when the father and son were walking they walk right by the father’s house in which he grew up in. The son was saying that he doesn’t want to go in, that his is too scared to go in. Then when they got in there wasn’t really anything there. Then after they came out of the house they started to head towards the mountains and the father was thinking about if they would have enough food to last going through the mountains.

The book I am reading is Gym Candy. But I am already done reading it.

I did over thanksgiving break

On Thanksgiving I had most of my dads side of the family over and one family from my mom side come over to eat. Before we ate one of my cousins from Madison brought their dog to our house. His name was Jasper but I don’t know what kind of dog it was. So we were walking the dog around the block in till we had to eat, because Jasper would have had to stay in the car for the in tire time when we were eating. So after the meal we brought Jasper back into my backyard and played fetch with him while I and a cousin were playing catch with a rugby ball because I couldn’t find a football that was inflated. After playing outside for about an hour and a half us everyone who was outside went inside and talked. But me and my cousin who were playing catch went and played madden because we always play each other when he is over. This year since he lives in Wisconsin and I live in Minnesota we played a Packers vs. Vikings. He was the Packers and I was Vikings. He always wins but it is still fun. This time he kicked my butt. In the fourth quarter I through 3 interceptions one right after the other. Then when everyone one gone we watched Fred Clause. But right as we were about to finish the movie the lamp in our TV gone out so we don’t know how it ends. That is what my family and I did on Thanksgiving Day.

The Odyssey (HIGHLIGHT TO READ)

The book Odyssey is a somewhat good book. But it is a very confusing book, but like I know the main parts in the book. For example the book is about a man named Odysseus, and he went of to fight in the Trojan War. But when everyone else got home he was still not home. So the elders of the city pronounced him dead. But his son doesn’t was to accept it so he goes off to go look for his dad. There is one chapter that was confusing in the 11th book it was when Odysseus was in the underworld and he was talking to all these dead people. He was talking to so many people that you didn’t know if it was him or some other dead person because there was so many of them. But other parts in the book were cool. When Odysseus and his crew were in the cave and then they stabbed the Polyphemus (the son of Poseidon, God of Water) in the eye. A funny part is when Circe (witch goddess) turned Odysseus’s crew into pigs. The book has its funny parts and serious parts. A serious part is when Telemecaus goes to his first destination and finds out that his dad was “dead”.

Trail of Terror 11/1/08

Something I did this weakened was I went to Trail of Terror with the church called St Patrick’s. Since clowns are not my favorite, my clowns took me into a tiny haunted house called the Clown House. I was pretty freaked out. Clowns were coming at me in all different directions. But before that we went into the main haunted house. At first it went pretty good I was screaming a lot. This one time in the main haunted house a clown so bad I fell to the ground. When I got up I just had to give the clown a high five. But then we got to the clown section. That is when it went all down hill. Clowns were hitting the cages making really loud noises and scaring the crap out of me. This one clown was following me. I asked why you are following me really loud. And said because your fun in a really creepy voice and that just messed me up. Then the part we went outside then right back in the JASON came running at my group. But I wasn’t so scared because Jason doesn’t really scare me so I laughed and gave him a high five to. So in the end of the night it was pretty fun. I laughed, screamed and almost messed myself a handful of times.
